Effective date: September 19, 2026.
Shootr LLC (“Shootr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Shootr mobile application, website, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, where it comes from, how we use and disclose it, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you.
Shootr is a creative marketplace and social platform. Information you choose to publish—such as your profile, portfolio posts, public gear listings, followers, following, ratings, reviews, comments, and tagged posts—may be visible to other users or the public according to the feature and your settings.
Information we collect
- Account and contact information: name, email address, username, password-related authentication records, account role, date of birth, age attestation, account creation date, and support contact information. Date of birth is used for age eligibility and is not displayed on public profiles.
- Profile and social information: profile and header images, bio, links, specialties, availability status, followers, following, ratings, reviews, tags, mentions, and profile settings.
- Content and communications: posts, photos, videos, captions, comments, likes, messages, group messages, shared materials, Shootr Delivery files, gear listings, reports, moderation appeals, and related metadata.
- Booking and service information: requested services, selected Creatives, dates, times, duration, project description, availability, city, agreed meeting address, budget, consent selections, booking status, completion status, cancellations, and ratings.
- Location information: city or region entered by you; approximate or precise device location when you grant permission; map-pin location; and permission-based live-job location shared with the relevant booking participant.
- Safety information: reports, blocks, safety incidents, optional safety audio, status events, content strikes, moderation decisions, appeals, and records needed to investigate abuse or protect users.
- Payment and earnings information: price, platform fee, payment status, refunds, disputes, receipts, earnings, connected-account status, payout status, and transaction identifiers. Stripe collects and handles full card and bank-account details; Shootr does not store those full credentials.
- Device and technical information: device platform, app version, notification token, permission status, IP-derived or request information available to our infrastructure, security events, function logs, and diagnostics generated by the services used to operate Shootr.
- Usage information: searches, feature interactions, profile views, navigation events, message read state, notification interaction, upload state, and other activity needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Shootr.
Where information comes from
We receive information directly from you; from your device when you grant permission or use a feature; from other users who interact, book, tag, review, message, report, or share content with you; from service providers such as Stripe; and from automated systems used for security, moderation, and operations.
How we use information
- create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts, confirm age eligibility, and prevent underage registration;
- display profiles, portfolios, social activity, ratings, and user-selected public information;
- provide discovery, maps, availability, booking, schedule, messaging, live-job, delivery, and support features;
- process payments, calculate fees, maintain receipts, support payouts, and address refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fraud, and accounting;
- send transactional and user-requested notifications;
- moderate content, enforce rules, investigate reports, administer appeals, prevent abuse, and protect users;
- diagnose errors, maintain reliability, measure feature operation, and improve Shootr;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Automated content review
Text, images, videos, profile media, listings, messages, and other submitted content may be processed by automated moderation systems and service providers, including OpenAI where configured, to identify prohibited, illegal, sexually explicit, exploitative, infringing, deceptive, or unsafe content. Content may remain non-public while review is pending. Automated systems can make mistakes, and eligible users may request human review through support. We may retain limited moderation inputs, results, strikes, and appeal records when reasonably needed for safety, fraud prevention, enforcement, or legal compliance.
Location and live-job information
Device location is collected only when the relevant permission is granted. Nearby discovery may use location to calculate and display distance or relevant Creatives. A map pin can be used to search another area without making your precise personal location public. Precise live-job location is intended to be shared only with authorized users connected to the applicable booking and only for the feature’s active purpose. Location can be inaccurate or delayed.
Leaving the Live Job screen does not end an active sharing session. You can stop sharing using the in-app control or device permissions. Sharing stops when the job is ended or cancelled, and the displayed travel trail is cleared. The last saved position and job-status records may remain with the booking after sharing stops; stopping sharing is not the same as deleting all stored location records. Contact support to request deletion. We assess any continued retention against the booking, an unresolved safety or payment dispute, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
Safety audio
If you choose to use safety-audio recording, Shootr processes the audio, booking association, timestamps, and related safety metadata to provide the feature and investigate eligible safety concerns. A person using the feature is responsible for providing notice and obtaining consent where required by law. Saved recordings are stored privately and access is limited to authorized booking participants and authorized service administration. A saved recording is not automatically deleted when a job ends. It remains associated with the account and booking until removed following an eligible deletion request or account deletion. Requests may be subject to an unresolved incident, dispute, fraud investigation, or legal obligation. Contact support to request removal of a recording; do not send the recording itself in an initial email.
How information is disclosed
- Other users and the public: information you publish or direct us to share, including public profiles, posts, comments, ratings, reviews, listings, and follower information permitted by your settings.
- Booking and conversation participants: booking details, agreed meeting information, messages, shared files, status events, and live-job information needed for the relevant interaction.
- Service providers: companies that provide hosting, database, authentication, storage, notifications, maps and place search, payments and payouts, automated moderation, email, support, security, and technical operations. Current core providers include Supabase, Stripe, Expo/EAS, Google Maps/Places, and OpenAI where configured.
- Legal, safety, and fraud purposes: authorities, advisers, payment networks, or others when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid process, prevent fraud, protect a person, investigate abuse, or defend rights and claims.
- Business transfers: a buyer, investor, lender, adviser, or successor in connection with financing, diligence, reorganization, acquisition, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
We do not sell personal information for money. Shootr currently does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or third-party targeted advertising. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide required choices before the new practice begins.
Payments and Stripe
Stripe processes payment and connected-account information under Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Shootr and Stripe exchange account, identity-verification status, transaction, fee, refund, dispute, balance, and payout information needed to operate marketplace payments. Stripe may collect information directly through its hosted or embedded interfaces.
Retention
We retain information for the shortest period reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, while accounting for active accounts, user instructions, shared content, backups, security, fraud prevention, moderation appeals, payment processing, tax and accounting duties, disputes, chargebacks, safety incidents, legal holds, and applicable law.
- Account and profile data generally remain while the account is active.
- Public content remains until deleted, removed, or affected by account deletion, subject to shared copies and documented exceptions.
- Booking, receipt, payment, payout, tax, and dispute records may be retained for legally and operationally required periods.
- Push tokens are removed or replaced when invalidated, changed, or no longer needed.
- Moderation, report, strike, and safety records may be retained to protect users, administer appeals, prevent repeat abuse, and comply with law.
- Shootr Delivery files remain associated with the booking so authorized participants can access paid work. Completing a job or deleting an account does not automatically delete paid delivery files or the other participant's booking history. Keep your own copy of important work. Contact support to request removal; the request is assessed against the other participant's access to purchased work, any open dispute, and legal obligations.
- Saved safety recordings are not subject to an automatic job-end deletion timer. They are retained with the account and booking until an eligible deletion request or account deletion is completed, subject to the exceptions described above.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, including access controls and encrypted network transport where supported. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should use a unique password, protect their devices, avoid sharing credentials, and report suspected compromise promptly.
Your choices and privacy rights
You can manage profile information, selected visibility controls, permissions, notification settings, blocks, and other preferences in the app or device settings. You can delete eligible content and request account deletion through Settings → Manage account → Delete account or our web account-deletion page.
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information; appeal certain request decisions; or obtain information about how data is used and disclosed. Submit a request through Shootr Support. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Account deletion
Account deletion removes or de-identifies eligible account, profile, and media information from active systems. Information may remain where another user independently retains it, it was shared in a transaction or conversation, it exists temporarily in protected backups, or retention is required for payment, tax, accounting, chargeback, dispute, fraud, safety, security, enforcement, or legal purposes. Active bookings or unresolved obligations may need to be completed or resolved first.
Age eligibility
Shootr is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit a person under 18 to create an account or use Shootr. If you believe a minor has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
United States-focused launch
Shootr’s initial service and policies are designed for a United States launch. Do not use Shootr from a jurisdiction where the service is not offered or where your use would violate law. Additional regional terms and privacy disclosures may be required before Shootr expands.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Shootr, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version, revise the effective date, and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively.
